Get to know the Plaza Maplewood Theatre and discover how we can help you plan your special event or meet your fund raising goals.  The Plaza Maplewood Theatre is committed to being a vital and contributing member of the City of Maplewood.  One of our most important goals is to provide value beyond that of the average discount theater.  We feel we can best do this by giving back to the community that supports us.

To do this we have created programs to benefit our neighborhood churches, schools, employers, daycare providers and clubs.  Please take a moment to read through this information to learn how we can work together to support your organization and the last neighborhood theater on the East Side.  Thank you!

The Plaza Maplewood Theatre would like to help you have a fun and successful fundraiser to support your group’s activities.

Here’s how it works: you schedule a time for a showing of a movie currently playing at the Plaza and provide two volunteers.  One volunteer will be your host and the other will sell tickets.  The Plaza will provide staff to sell concessions.

All of the ticket sales - $1.50 per ticket – will go directly to your group.  The more people you get to come, the more money you will make!  Also, if your ticket sales exceed 100 people, your group will receive 10% of the concession sales as well.

Call us to schedule a time for your group to come to the theater and receive .50 cents off every Kid’s Tray purchased – includes popcorn and your choice of beverage and candy.  Your total cost for admission and Kid’s Tray is only $4.50 per child. 

 

Need more space for a business meeting or presentation?  Each of our auditoriums can accommodate up to 230-235 people.  Want to rent a specific film to show for a special event?  Film rental costs and availability vary by studio – call for more information.

Is your organization having a carnival, silent auction or thanking volunteers?  We have a limited number of free movie passes and movie posters available for this purpose each month. 

For groups of 10 or more children attending a regular show time, receive a discount of .50 cents off each Kid’s Tray purchased – includes popcorn and your choice of beverage and candy.  Please call a couple days ahead and let us know when you are coming.
